About
Since at least 1790, Argentine tanneries have exported leather overseas, a physical testament to centuries of gaucho tradition extolled in novels and paintings worldwide. While their art was recorded in all formats, their mastercraft was passed down over generations by mouth to our founders ears, who trained over a combined decade in local ateliers to perfect.
Working alongside skilled artisans in our Buenos Aires tanneries and workshops to handfashion each piece in small batches, we continue to hand select our leather from local tanneries and practice sustainable leather for this generation.
THE DÉDALO PROCESS
100% Vegetable Tanned Leather
Our leathers and woods are locally sourced and dyed a palatte reflecting Argentina's natural landscape. 10% vegetable tanning forms a deep patina that beautifully richens with age, as well as being more enviromentally friendly.
Slowly Made in Small Batches
Small teams of skilled artisans utilize techniques passed down over generations to construct products lasting a lifetime.
SUSTAINABILITY
Local Sourcing
Our leather is selected from agriculture farms in the La Pampa region. This ensures we repurpose farm animals raised for food, over 90% of which are discarded by the agricultural industry.
100% Vegetable Tanning
Our tanneries use 100% vegetable tanning in natural palattes instead of artificial chemicals like chromium, formaldehyde, and others that can harm workers and the environment.
Ethical Labor
Our goods comes from workshops where we know the local artisans on a first name basis and they recieve competitive wages. Handcrafting with minimal machinery further reduces our carbon footprint.
